Next trail ride July 30&31

Christian Crawlers next trail ride is July 30 and 31 at Rausch Creek OHV Park. Meet at 8am to be on trails by 9am.

Could not be a worse weekend for me

Two weekends before that, I am at the Rausch Creek for 4 days for the East Coast Xterra Challenge.

The next weekend, I am at Bloomsburg Pa for 4 days for the National BMW motorcycle rally.

The weekend of July 30 is our anniversary. If I go away that weekend, I am dead.

Thats ok Kenn, We have another one after that. This run will most likely be at least 1 day of black trails. I gotta test out the Ram Charger.

I may have to get up there for this one. I haven't been to Rausch in a long time. Of course, Wally won't be seeing any black trails. But I can always put on my hiking boots and walk them.

Gotta work Saturday morning the 30th. Are you planning on camping that night and wheeling again on Sunday?

Unless there is a bad thunderstorm or something we plan to wheel Sunday as well. We will run green trails and blues that have black side trails for other to watch. I can't break my RC yet. I am out of money to fix it. If anyone wants to wheel a monday let me know. I can't wheel July 4th, gotta work but any other day should be good.

Lazarus works. Although, these days I think Job would probably be more appropriate.
Or Jonah. With my luck, I probably would wind up getting swallowed by a whale this summer.
I'm just going to be proactive and stay far away from the shore.

Is anybody planning to camp Friday night?

ya we plan to camp Friday and Sat. night. hey ray, if you want to save a few bucks you can drive your car and ride with us in the Ramcharger. It's up to you.

As of now we are not sure on what time we will arrive on the 29th do to Danielle's work. If she doesn't go to the office we can be up there much earlier. I will let you know as soon as I can.

As of right now I am waiting to see if RC needs any help with the RCrocs race on July 30th. If they do a couple of us will be helping out with that on Saturday. Wheeling then on Sunday.

What a trail ride. We had a good time watching the race on Saturday and wheeling Sunday. More info to come.

Sounds like a good weekend. Wish I could have made it.

Ya I missed having you there. I am learning my new rig better each time out. I will post a list of trails soon. No one broke and we had no problems through the day.

I really enjoyed my return to Rasuch. It was great to see the Bullfrogs and Brian again. The RCrocs race was an entirely new experience for me. We were stationed at a hill climb and commissioned with assisting any racers that flipped over. Nobody did, but it was a good spot to see lots of crazy action and trail carnage.

The forecast said it was going to rain Friday and Saturday, but it never did. The weather was very forgiving. Upper 80s during the day and really cool at night.

Even with slightly balding tires, Wally was a trooper and kept up with the big toys. And there were some pretty big toys. lol. We met up with three people off the Rausch forums. I forgot how much more demanding rock crawling is than driving in the pines. You really need to be on your game the whole time. Midway through the Sunday ride, I started feeling myself wearing down and I didn't want to be on those rocks if I wasn't 100%, especially since one of the bolts in my skid plate may have been slightly stripped. So I called it and we went back to leave Wally in the parking lot and headed back in to try some black trails. Jeremiah's rig is a beast that can take a beating. I think I've decided to nickname it Jaws because it reminded me of a cross between a shark and a small boat. lol.

I found a nice, scenic route to take there down Rt. 422 that was a lot more pleasant a drive for me than the turnpike. There were lots of things to look at and plenty of places to stop, if I needed to.

Anyhow, it was a lot of fun and I was really glad to be able to drive back home on my own power this time... without the aid of a tow truck.

I was very happy you and wally came out of the weekend in 1 piece. I know I was ready for a real bed. I am thinking about a trailer a guy has at work. 30' enclosed. I just don't know if the RC will fit in it. If I get it it will house everyone to sleep. I plan to install AC, power outlets, and a outside shower area. We will see.

Wow. That sounds like it would be sweet! A small hotel on wheels. All you'd need to add is an exercise room and a jacuzzi. lol.

Last year, some guy pulled in to Rausch with a semi truck. The trailer was divided into two parts. The front half of the trailer was living quarters -- a real nice camper set up, with power, air conditioning, TV etc. The rear was for the trail rig. Now that guy was traveling in style (and bucks).

This thing I am looking at is older and needs some work. And it is cheap.
